NNC Ltd has been involved in a wide spectrum of activities in the field of contaminated land, recent projects have included

• Contaminated Land Investigation for a Major Manufacturing Company:- Phase 1, 2 & 3 site investigations of a former manufacturing site consisting of over 200 sampling locations leading to remediation of the site prior to redevelopment.

• Dispersion Modeling and Monitoring for Local Authority:- Assessment of discharges from a landfill site to surrounding water courses and their impact.

• Expert Witness for Law Firm:- NNC are acting as an expert witness in a litigation case regarding the effective clean-up of contaminated land.

• Local Authorities:- Enhanced natural activity investigation, over 30 sites across UK.

• Production of Guidelines for the EA:- NNC has recently been involved in the production of monitoring guidelines for the E.A.

• Radium 226 Luminising Wastes:- Ex MOD occupied sites, and luminising paint wastes in disused tips.

• Remediation for Electronics Company:- Emergency clean-up of a site following a leak from an underground storage tank. The site, situated above a highly vulnerable major aquifer, required immediate attention to avoid prosecution.

• Risk Assessment for Developer:- Thorough environmental and geotechnical investigation & risk assessment, allowing a past industrial site to be used for housing.

• UKAEA Harwell Term Decommissioning Contractor:- Building and land investigation for radiological contaminants. £3 million over 4 years.

• UKAEA Risley Science Park:- Full environmental radiological survey contributing to successful private sale of entire site.
